Summary: this add-in does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. It has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no third-party trackers. Your email and the records bundles it builds never leave your own Microsoft 365 tenant.
Public Records Packager helps records custodians respond to public-records requests. You search your own mailbox for responsive messages, review the results, and the add-in assembles a records bundle in your own OneDrive: an exact archival copy of each message (.eml), a printable copy (.html), the attachments in their original format, and a manifest.csv index with blank exemption columns for the records officer. The add-in does not perform redaction and never sends anything anywhere.

The add-in signs you in (Microsoft nested app authentication) and uses Microsoft Graph — Microsoft's own Microsoft 365 service — to search and read your own mail and to write the bundle files into your own OneDrive. The data travels only between your mailbox, Microsoft Graph, and your OneDrive. It stays entirely within your Microsoft 365 tenant — a meaningful property for public-records work, where the records themselves are often sensitive.
There is no PurposeBuilt Systems server in this process, and no third
party receives your data. The add-in uses two delegated permissions —
Mail.Read (your own mailbox) and Files.ReadWrite
(your own OneDrive) — and can never access anyone else's mail or files.
The add-in's static program files (HTML, JavaScript, icons) are served from GitHub Pages. Serving these files involves no customer data.
